The fastest adaption rate (5 seconds) can sometimes get stuck detecting a new pace. For now, just use 10 seconds instead.

Sometimes the network download gets stuck during updates if you lose reception, you may have to force quit to app (exit, double tap home, hold on SynchStep, click minus). Fixed in next update.

Q. Why can't I use the BPM tags I already have in iTunes?

A. An upcoming update will do this instantly, but for now SynchStep Prep (Mac/Windows), will do this for you.

Q. How can I analyze songs that don't have tempos yet?

A. SynchStep Prep (Mac/Windows): A free application that allows you to analyze all of your songs instantly. Or, just wait for someone else to analyze them and you'll get the tempo automatically! When one person uploads a tempo, everyone gets that tempo.

The app I wish Apple would make for the iPod! It's about as close as you could get--the interface is sick.

I take this running and walking to/from the subway, and its perfect. I hate having to setup playlists, and this is so simple with the twist it matches your pace.

The step detection works really well. My friend had a similar app but it didn't work as well.

It's kinda annoying that it has to calculate the BPMs, but I don't know what else they could do. At least they made that as easy as possible.
